Get to know Seattle Tempest #77 Sadie Jezierski
By Becca Weinberg
Seattle, WA - With over 17 years of ultimate frisbee experience, handler/cutter Sadie Jezierski brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to the Seattle Tempest roster. After joining the team in 2023, Jezierski made an immediate impact and is ready to continue her dynamic playmaking this season.
Jezierski began playing in 6th grade with her middle school friends, and continued to play each year since. She found that it brings her great enjoyment to compete with new teammates each year while learning how to create on-field chemistry through off-field connections. “Above all, I’ve learned that each iteration of any team is special and really immersing yourself with that year’s team is just as important as the on-field play,” Jezierski said.
She continued playing in college for the women’s frisbee team at Ohio State University, and quickly made a name for herself as one of the most dominant players in the country. During her senior year in 2019, she was nominated by her teammates for the Callahan Award, which is given annually to the most valuable player in college ultimate.
As a hybrid player, which means she can play as either a handler or a cutter, Jezierski has recorded 30 assists and 1,909 throwing yards across two seasons with Seattle, and excels at creating scoring opportunities on the field. She also has multiple years of experience on the international stage, most recently being named to the World Beach Ultimate Championships 2025 U.S. National Team. In 2019, Jezierski was also a key player on the U.S. U-24 Women’s National Team that secured a goal medal win.
Jezierski is also involved in the Seattle ultimate frisbee community as a coach for a high school boys team in the Seven Hills program, a youth club program focused on skill development for Seattle-area players. She has also served as a coach for the U-20 open team at the Youth Club Championships, which brings the top club teams in the nation together to compete in one tournament.
While playing for Tempest, Jezierski has most enjoyed interacting with the Seattle fanbase and playing in front of engaging crowds. “It's super fun to be able to play in front of all the fans and get to know them after games on the field,” she said. As she looks ahead to the upcoming season, Jezierski is excited to meet new players and continue creating highlights on the field. Keep an eye out for #77 as the Tempest season gets underway in March.
