Seattle Mariners 2025 food preview: New local and regional partners in addition to fascinating food additions
By Jayd Serdy, edited by Charles Hamaker
Seattle, WA - Our Seattle Mariners held their annual Media Food Preview on Wednesday afternoon, following the release of T-Mobile Park’s new food and beverage lineup for the 2025 season alongside longtime hospitality partner Sodexo Live!, curated by Mariners Vice President of Fan Experience Malcolm Rogel and new Executive Chef Craig McAlister. The food preview is always a great way to showcase the new options that Seattle fans will have when it comes to eating at the ballpark, whether that’s to satisfy their hunger or drown the sorrows of a tight loss in some form of comfort food. While some may believe that the budget for the new food and beverage items directly correlates to the franchises spending in free agency, that’s not the case and it’s foolish to believe so. One thing that the Mariners organization has done well consistently is improve the experience at the ballpark, unrelated to the product on the field, and that includes the structures within the building itself to the food and beverage options that the fanbase can partake in as they spend countless hours there during the Spring and Summer. Here’s a look into those new options and other highlights from items that have been popular previously at T-Mobile Park, as our Jayd Serdy was on site for this food preview.
“We are very excited to once again provide fans at T-Mobile Park with what we believe is the best ballpark menu in baseball. With player-inspired dishes, a great lineup of local partners and a larger value program than ever before, there is something for everyone at the ballpark this summer.”
Items with player names return
If you enjoy food options that are a play of sorts on a players name (See: the Double MitchWich and the Cal-Zone) or curated to honor them, then you’re in luck as there are four new items that relate in some form to those who have worn a Mariners uniform at some point. With Ichiro Suzuki being named to the Professional Baseball Hall of Fame just a few months ago, and Seattle retiring his jersey this summer, it makes a ton of sense that there will be a few items named after him this season and likely for years to come.
Ichiro Suzuki:
In honor of the Mariners legend and his recent National Baseball Hall of Fame election, the Walk-Off Market (sect. 105) will offer Ichi Wings using the very recipe created specifically for Ichiro in the clubhouse kitchen, featuring a delicious teriyaki and sesame glaze.
Jayd’s review: These wings were by far the best thing I sampled all day. The flavor that these pack is out of the park (pun intended) and they are reasonably priced to boot.
At Nakagawa (sect. 132), fans can dig into the IchiRoll made of salmon, crab salad, avocado, cucumber, green onion, fried onion, sriracha, rice and seaweed.
Cal Raleigh:
Playing off his “Big Dumper” nickname, and providing a second option for food named after the Mariners Platinum Glove winning catcher, the Walk-Off Market (sect. 105, 141) will serve tasty Lil’ Dumpers this season – hot and fresh steamed pork soup dumplings with sesame and hoisin sauce.
Jayd’s review: These are to die for, they have so much flavor packed into one little dumpling.
Félix Hernández
Hearty turkey legs will make their way back to gameday in honor of “King Felix” Hernández. During his reign on the field, turkey legs were delivered to lucky fans in the King’s Court section. Now, anyone can feel like royalty with their own King’s Court Turkey Leg from the new King’s Court stand (sect. 144).
Jayd’s review: This was one of the best Turkey Legs I’ve had, and I consider myself a turkey leg connoisseur. It was packed with flavor with a crispy skin without feeling too heavy.
The new items around T-Mobile Park for 2025
The Souvenir Tridents Up Cup has been the topic of a lot discussion since the pictures came out. Designed specifically for Mariners fans at T-Mobile Park, the Tridents Up Cup can be used with all the ballpark’s beverage offerings, holding up to 32oz at a time. This item takes a different spin on the traditional souvenir cup, personalizing it for the Mariners fanbase as they continue to play into the trident logo that has been brought back over the last few years and especially so given it’s the teams home run celebration prop. It fits perfectly in the cup holders at the ballpark, so no worries about putting it at your feet where someone’s beer could spill onto it.
“We’re thrilled to continue delivering a world-class hospitality program that makes T-Mobile Park the ultimate destination for some of the best eats in baseball. From our expanded value menu and fun creations by our talented new chef, to fresh bites from exciting local partners, we can’t wait for fans to experience all that’s new this year. We love to get creative during the offseason, which is a time for our team to step into the fans’ shoes and find new ways to elevate their culinary journey with offerings that are both fun and approachable. We’ve got a delicious season ahead!”
Alongside the Souvenir Tridents Up Cup, the What Up Corn Dog caught a lot of attention when it was announced for the color of the item itself and fans wondering what in the world it is. A Mariners blue, honey-battered corn dog with a spicy crunch served with nacho cheese.
The third item to round out the most discussed when the Mariners made their official release was the Ice Cream Nachos, adding another sweet treat option to the ballpark for those who might need it throughout the course of a grueling MLB season. Soft serve ice cream with thick, crunchy waffle chips, sprinkles and caramel sauce.
Jayd’s review: I have a huge sweet tooth so I am inclined to enjoy most sweet treats, but these were SO good. The waffle pieces didn’t get too soggy, and the ice cream was a perfect way to cool down after trying all of the other food.
There are a few new local and regional partners joining the ballpark's lineup, Great State Burger is a name that many Seattle area fans should recognize when they come to the ballpark. With everything grown, farmed, raised and made in Washington, Great State Burger supports area farms through its fresh menu offerings that feature beef from cows that are 100% pasture raised and grass-fed. With something for everyone, the menu is stacked with Cheeseburgers, Chicken Strip Combos, Chicken Veggie Burgers and their hearty Great State Burger (beef patty with American cheese, organic lettuce, pickles and state sauce).
Jayd’s review: The Great State Burger is full of different options for fans with a Double Cheeseburger ($16.99), the Great State Burger ($14.49), and the Rebellyous Plant Based Chicken Burger ($16.99). I only tried the Chicken Burger, but that was one of the best plant based burgers I’ve ever had. A handful of people near me were raving about the Great State Burger, saying that the state sauce was “like a fry sauce but better.”
Another regional partner joining the T-Mobile Park lineup this year is Sumo Dog. Sumo Dog explores the combinations of the American classic hot dog with a heavy nod to the Japanese Izakaya. Offerings for their inaugural year at the ballpark include unique twists with The Godzilla (footlong all-beef Hempler’s hot dog, beef chili, togarashi cheese sauce, wasabi relish, pickled peppers, spicy mayo, teriyaki sauce, furikake, minced onion, jalapeño, nori) and the classic Sumo Dog (wasabi relish, pickled peppers, spicy mayo, teriyaki sauce, furikake, minced onion and nori on an all-beef hot dog), as well as Miso Mustard Coleslaw, Mochi, Lemongrass Lemonade, and more.
Jayd’s review: The offerings from the Sumo Dog were another crowd favorite. The Sumo Dog ($14.49) is a dog topped with Asian inspired toppings, while The Godzilla ($16.49) is a foot long dog sharing many of the same toppings and a few extras. The people at my table raved about the dogs, however, I couldn’t try them myself despite both of them looking incredible.
A second local partner added to the lineup is Nakagawa Sushi, who you should remember from the IchiRoll mentioned previously. In addition to the IchiRoll, Bothell-based Nakagawa will also offer classic Vegetable and California Rolls, as well as the Seattle Roll (salmon, avocado, cucumber, fish roe, sesame, rice, seaweed), Shiso Hama Roll (yellow tail, shiso, avocado, cucumber, sesame, rice, seaweed) and the Mariner Combo (four pieces California roll, four pieces Seattle roll, two pieces Shiso Hama roll, and two pieces vegetable roll).
Jayd’s review: Nakagawa Sushi has a few new rolls with the Shiso Hama Roll ($17.99) the IchiRoll ($21.99) and the Settle Roll (no price on this one) all three of these rolls were pretty standard as far as sushi goes.
The Ballpark Bahn Mi, alongside the Ichi Wings and Lil’ Dumpers, is one of five new offerings at T-Mobile Park’s Walk-Off Market locations. It features Pork pâté, sriracha chicken, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeño, pickled carrot and daikon on a French roll.
Jayd’s review: The Ballpark Bahn Mi, offered at walk-off markets ($16.29) is another food I wasn’t able to try, but I heard people saying that it tasted really good. The general consensus seemed to be that the bread was a bit crispy, which is par for the course in a Bahn Mi sandwich.
The Holy Smokes Brisket Sandwich and Hickory Smoked Pork Sliders are the second and third new options on the Walk-Off Market menu’s after the Ballpark Bahn Mi. The Holy Smokes Brisket Sandwich features house smoked brisket with sweet pickles and onion on a potato hoagie roll with fresh kettle chips. The Hickory Smoked Pork Sliders feature smoked and sauced pulled pork on soft pull-apart rolls with sweet pickles, onions and served with fresh kettle chips.
Jayd’s review: The Holy Smokes Brisket Sandwich ($16.29) and the Hickory Smoked Pork Sliders ($16.29) both have a pretty similar takeaway for me, the sandwiches seemed overpowered by the presence of the pickle, and they were both a bit smokey for me personally. Both sandwiches had incredible flavor and were delightful, but if you’re not a fan of a smokey flavor, these may not be for you.
The fourth of the new items for the Walk-Off Market menu would be a re-imagination of your traditional ballpark pretzel. Authentic and giant Bavarian pretzel, with or without a side of cheese.
Jayd’s review: The Giant Bavarian Pretzel with Cheese ($14.99) is your standard pretzel. Plenty of salt with good cheese.
The fifth and final new addition to T-Mobile Park’s Walk-Off Market menu is the Turn Two Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. Featuring a special teriyaki recipe in collaboration with world-renowned chef Kenji Lopez-Alt, Walk-Off-Markets will include teriyaki glazed chicken thighs on white rice with pickled daikon and carrot.
Jayd’s review: The Turn Two Teriyaki bowl ($15.79) is your typical stadium teriyaki bowl. I was a fan of it and will definitely be purchasing it throughout the season. I’m a big fan of a teriyaki bowl and this did nor disappoint.
An addition to the different alcohol options in “The Pen” at T-Mobile Park, Slushietown offers a fun new way to cool off and have some fun at a game, hopefully in a responsible manner. Cool off during those warm summer games in the ‘Pen with the new alcoholic slushie wall at Slushietown! The refreshing 20 oz beverages include Frozen Mangonado, Frozen Basil Lemonade, Frozen Piña Colada and Mariners Lemonade. Plus, the slushies will now be included in the pre-game Happy Hour at The ‘Pen in addition to the popular draft beer options from previous years.
Jayd’s review: As far as new drinks go, the Mariners will offer a “Slushietown” featuring a handful of alcoholic slushies. We had the chance to sample the Mariners Lemonade which was a solid balance between lemonade and the flavor of alcohol. Slushies are my absolute favorite during the summer and I can see myself ordering plenty of these throughout the year.
Returning favorites, with some tweaks
A favorite pizza option at the ballpark for those looking for a good pie, Ballard Pizza is back with some new additions throughout the season. This year fans can enjoy pizza from celebrated local Chef Ethan Stowell’s Ballard Pizza on rotation! From March 27 through April 2 the Spicy Italian (sausage, red onion, fennel, chili flake) will be featured, with the Troll Pizza (Italian sausage, soppressata, red onion, red bell peppers) coming April 7 through April 13. Swing by their stands throughout the season to see what other flavors will be available.
Jayd’s review: Ballard Pizza Company announced that they would be rotating pizzas throughout the season, starting off with the Spicy Italian from March 27th - April 2nd, followed by the Troll Pizza from April 7th - April 13th. One slice of pizza from here will cost $12.79 and it is worth it. Both pizza’s tasted incredible and the Spicy Italian wasn’t too spicy.
A newcomer to the ballpark last year, Tamari Bar will continue to offer its popular Area 206 Curry (ground wagyu and house blend spice infused Japanese Curry and house made ra-yu) with Shrimp Katsu Sticks (tender prawns coated in Panko breadcrumbs and cooked until golden brown) as a new add-on option to the dish this season.
Jayd’s review: The Tamari Bar has an Area 206 Curry with Shrimp Katsu Sticks and an Area 206 Curry with Chicken Katsu that both tasted great. These were items that I hadn’t previously tried at T-Mobile park, so they were both a pleasant surprise for me.
Marination is back for another year at T-Mobile Park, a vendor that was somewhat tucked away as many fans didn’t realize that they were actually there, and they return with Li-Hing Gummy Bears (gummy bears dusted in a plum coating), Furikake Pretzels (classic crunch pretzels seasoned with furikake, a Japanese style spice blend creating a sweet, savory and umami flavor), plus more.
Jayd’s review: The Marination is offering Furikake Pretzels ($8.99) and Li-Hing Gummy Bears ($4.00) both of which were delicious.
Odds and ends
Salt & Straw: Salt and Straw will bring a rotation of their handmade ice cream flavors throughout the season, starting off with their popular Birthday Cakes & Blackberries made of sweet hunks of rainbow-sprinkled crumble in double-vanilla ice cream, all wrapped up with a ribbon of Oregon berry jam—made with the plump, delicious evergreen blackberries the PNW is famous for.
🐔🐔💥 (Chick Chick Boom): The emoji-themed concept serving fan-favorites like chicken sandwiches and tender baskets, has been renovated this season to feature Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, which will provide even faster service times.
Mariners Value Offerings: T-Mobile Park’s popular Value program is the biggest its ever been with 26 items across the value food and value beer menus. Four new food items include Pocky Stix, Jalapeño Popcorn, Little Bites Mini Muffins and Tostitos-n-Guac Snack Pack, while the value beer menu features the first ever Value Craft Draft, plus expanded non-alcoholic beer options.
Drink offerings
Coca-Cola products return as the “Official Fan Refreshment” of the Seattle Mariners with a re-imagined Coca Cola Fan Deck, which will offer a brand-new Coca Cola Orange Cream beverage.
Corona will continue this season as the ‘Official Cerveza’ of the Seattle Mariners, carrying products across the Corona, Modelo and Pacifico family, including two offerings on the Mariners Value Beer Menu – Corona NA and Modelo Michelada.
Miller Lite will continue this season as the ‘Official Domestic Beer’ of the Seattle Mariners, including offerings on the Mariners Value Beer Menu – Miller High Life.
The entire roster of best-in-class T-Mobile Park beer, wine and seltzer is available via the Beverage Finder, available via the MLB Ballpark app, which can be downloaded from any mobile app store.
Hatback Bar & Grille and Steelheads Alley
Across the street to the West of T-Mobile Park, on the lot where the Pyramind Brewing building used to stand, is Hatback Bar & Grille and Steelheads Alley, which has become a popular spot in the SoDo area for pregame and postgame activities. Whether that’s for Mariners, Seahawks, Sounders, or Reign games, or any other events that take place at Lumen Field, WAMU Theater, and T-Mobile Park, the Mariners owned establishment has a lot of good going for them considering that space and Victory Hall next to it. New in 2025, Hatback and Steelheads will together offer the Postgame Power Hour at Boxyard after every game. For the first hour after the final out, both establishments will offer 50% off all pizzas and $5 draft beers.
