Bring ‘em down to the ballpark: Indiana Jones, American patriotism, geocaching? Homestand six provides variety

Seattle, WA – Coming off homestand five which brought us Salute to the Negro Leagues, Pride week, Father's Day and more, the Mariners will have some more fun with promotions when their sixth homestand of the season rolls around. Another six-game homestand includes a series full of value games that can get you into the ballpark for as low as $10 before taxes, plus a Patriotic themed weekend as we approach the American Independence Day holiday. As the season continues, the Mariners won’t be without their fair share of fun ways to get different fans to the ballpark with the different promotional and community nights that they’ll be hosting.
Value games against the “other” Washington, and some unique special tickets
While the first three games of the homestand, all against the Nationals, are value games, there are some “special” tickets in the series as well. The special tickets for the series against the Nationals are unique, as they’re differing topics/genres across the three games that the Mariners are playing in that series. Monday, June 26th sees two special tickets offers in addition to being a value game as well. If you’d rather get the special ticket, you can purchase a seat that would also get you a Logan Gilbert bobblehead that sees the lanky pitcher as Indiana Jones or you can get a shirt inspired by “geocaching.” Two unique areas for the Mariners to promote, the only possible reason I could imagine that the team had an “Indiana Jones” night would be the new movie coming out, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” on June 29th.
When it comes to “Geocaching night,” I find it very interesting and kinda cool that the Mariners decided to have a promotion/community night for a somewhat niche hobby. Now, I have to admit that I am not sure how large the community is in the greater Seattle area for the hobby, but it was obviously big enough to have a whole night for it. If you purchased a ticket at this link, you could get the cool shirt to show your geocaching hobby off while also representing your Mariners fandom. If you’re unaware, geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. It’s said to have started back in 2000 in the state of Oregon.
To close out the Nationals series after the numerous things taking place during game one, Seattle will be hosting Italian Heritage night and a “Work from home(plate)” ticket special. The Italian Heritage night ticket special will get you a Mariners-themed Apron that says “Italia” on the chest with a bar of Italian flag colors below that. Two dollars from every ticket will benefit Festa Italiana.
Mariners goes all out for Patriotic weekend
When the best team in baseball, the Tampa Bay Rays, come to town, the Mariners will be getting prepared for a USA themed promotional weekend as we quickly approach the fourth of July and because the team will be on the road for the holiday, so Seattle’s team will celebrate it on that weekend. The Mariners have plenty prepared for patriotic promotions on the weekend, from a Cal Raleigh themed hat, a fanny pack that’s clear so you can bring it to the ballpark, and much, much more so that you can go all American, if that’s what you want.
To begin the weekend, it’s a fun Friday night at T-Mobile Park as the Mariners welcome the Rays to town as Seattle will be wearing their City Connect jerseys for the fourth time ever. The Mariners will be hosting a “Patriotic fireworks night,” presented by T-Mobile to cap off a big first game of the series against the team with the most wins in MLB, while wearing their sweet threads that are new to this season. Following the Friday night fun, the Mariners keep the red, white, and blue theme rolling for Saturday’s unique start time (4:15PM PST) as the first 10,000 fans inside of T-Mobile Park will receive a Cal Raleigh inspired cowboy hat that’s got the stars design all around and Cal’s face on a small ribbon circulating the head part of the hat. The final piece of promotional wear from the Patriotic themed weekend is when on Sunday, for a day game first pitch (1:10PM PST) the Mariners will give out a USA themed clear fanny pack that you will be able to bring to the ballpark given its clear structure.
In addition to the Patriot promotional items that the Mariners have throughout that weekend, Seattle has a few other theme and community tickets to look at to finish out the final homestand before the All-Star break hits the city. In mentioning the unique Saturday first pitch time, it should be noted that the OL Reign play at 12:30PM PST at Lumen Field, just across the street, and then the Sounders kickoff at night with a 7:30PM PST start. With that being said, the Mariners have a promotional ticket surrounding the Sounders with a special co-branded shirt that has Sounders cooler and minimized logo while the world Mariners is printed across the chest. In addition to the Sounders-Mariners crossover, Seattle (on the same day, July 1st) is hosting a special “Yellowstone” Day for the five-season show that runs on the Paramount network and Peacock. If you use this special link, you will receive a special “Yellowstone” themed belt buckle with your ticket to watch game two of the Rays and Mariners. While not directly a promotional item, the final special ticket that can be purchased for July 1st is a Class of 2023 Graduation ticket special that can get you into the ballpark for as low as $12 on the view (300) level or $29 on the main (100) level to commemorate your achievement and journey into adulthood.
One final promotional item that the Mariners will have for Sunday, July 2nd is when you can show your support for the Firefighters of the World if you buy a ticket at this link. In addition to the ticket that you receive, you will be getting a special Mariners themed Firemans baseball cap and $5 of every ticket sold will benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Get a cool hat, support a foundation for Firefighters.
What to look forward to next homestand
When homestand number six ends on the tail of the somewhat crucial series against the Tampa Bay Rays, the best team in all of baseball, we’ll have to wait for after All-Star week, which the Mariners are hosting here at T-Mobile Park. After that fun and long stretch, Seattle will host a ten game homestand that is filled with fun for all types of fans, and includes some big matchups for the team itself on the diamond. During a homestand where the Tigers, Twins, and Blue Jays come to town, Seattle will have nights to celebrate things such as Filipino heritage, Roller derby, DC Comics, Skateboarding, and much more.
