Seattle, WA - Storm rookie Nika Mühl has her offseason plans in stone now. On Friday morning, Beşiktaş BOA announced that the 23-year-old Croatian signed a contract for the upcoming EuroCup season.
The 5’11 point guard joins a talented Beşiktaş team that made a run to the EuroCup Final last season powered by Chicago Sky point guard Dana Evans who led the team in scoring at 23 points per contest. Los Angeles Sparks center Li Yueru was second with 18 points and led the team in rebounding (10 RPG).
Representing her home country at FIBA EuroBasket U18 in Sarajevo 5 years ago, Mühl averaged 12 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 2.6 steals in seven games.
The move is unsurprising. Mühl is eager to learn and expand her game. Throughout the start of the season, her veterans have spoken highly of her intensity on both ends of the court and her willingness to lead her teammates.
Missing the first four games of her professional career due to visa issues, she’s averaged 3.7 minutes in her first three games.
