Press release: CSS adds community team to bring Seattle sports fans together for charitable causes

By Charles Hamaker

Seattle, WA – In an announcement that’s been in the making for quite some time, Circling Seattle Sports proudly announces the addition of our community division, which will work to bring Seattle sports fans together to generate good for those in need. Michael Loreno, Kaitlan Nicole, and Alicia Crank will be at the forefront of this new community division for CSS, picking up from the work that they’ve done previously in the same field. These three will lead events around the Seattle area, including at Rough & Tumble Pub, home of CSS, in addition to other local businesses, helping raise money and collect resources in different forms for those who need them. With the incredible community that the Seattle sports fanbase contains, our new division is excited at the possibility of joining our passions of community service and sports to foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that will help many in need all year long.

These different events will include things such as toy drives, school drives, and other different situations where the Seattle sports community can come together to provide items to those in need when those resources seem unattainable. Michael, Alicia, and Kaitlan have already done great work with these sorts of events before, hosting great toy and school drives at the 32 Bar & Grill before. In addition to hosting these drives, a goal that the community team has will be to supporting local businesses in the greater Seattle area when hosting these events and when hosting special watch parties. Rough & Tumble Pub, the official home of Circling Seattle Sports and a space that invites all fans of all ages to join to watch ALL the sports, will be a key space for these events and watch parties in the future.

The very first event that our community division will host comes just 12 days from now, when we’ll hold our 2024 CSS holiday toy drive! Members of the CSS team including Mike, Kaitlan, Alicia, Jayd, and Charles will be present at the 32 Bar & Grill inside of the Kraken Community Iceplex in Northgate, on December 7th from 2-4PM PST. Any new toys, stuffed animals or things kids can use for holiday presents will be accepted as all donations are going to Mary's Place to help bring some joy this holiday season. If you want to donate but won't be able to attend, members of the CSS team can collect any donations within reasonable driving / taking any cash donations to shop for toys right after the event. Michael will be sharing the receipts and photos of the journey as we go, and we look forward to hosting many different events to help the community in the greater Seattle area.

Please welcome Michael, Kaitlan, and Alicia to the CSS team and keep an eye out for more CSS Community division events!
