Storm searching for ways to put things together, falling to Liberty as numerous growing pains remain
The Seattle Storm dropped their third straight loss, falling to the New York Liberty in another contest that displayed many of the issues that they’d dealt with for most of the 2023 season in addition to a few other problems that Liberty took advantage of.
Storm can’t spoil Breanna Stewart’s return to Seattle, fall to Liberty
For their third consecutive loss to begin the season, a franchise worst, the Seattle Storm fell to the New York Liberty in Breanna Stewart’s return. Stewie didn’t have much of an impact until the second quarter, and while Seattle fought hard, they couldn’t close the gap after a strong third quarter by the Liberty.
Storm defense locks down late to beat Sky
The Seattle Storm rebounded from a three game losing streak, including two losses to the Phoenix Mercury, by using strong defense late to defeat the defending champion Chicago Sky.

The Seattle Storm defeated the defending champion Chicago Sky with staunch defense and an impressive performance by young Center Ezi Magbegor.
