The Seattle Kraken opened the 2024-25 season, the fourth season overall for the franchise, with plenty of excitement and activity leading up to puck drop, and that seemed to carry into the game as they had a two-goal early into the second period. That positive momentum and energy didn't carry throughout the rest of the game as Seattle gave up three unanswered goals in the same frame and couldn't fight back.

In a do or die game six back in their home of Climate Pledge Arena, the Seattle Kraken got out to a hot start and were able to sustain that pressure to secure a victory and force a game seven in their second round Stanley Cup Playoffs matchup.
