Captain Crawford in the clutch: J.P. walks off Rangers to keep the Mariners season alive
In dramatic fashion, the Seattle Mariners began their four-game series against the Texas Rangers with a walkoff victory in the bottom of the ninth inning as the teams captain, J.P. Crawford, came through with the bases loaded. Seattle keeps their season alive, at least for another day.
Mariners drop series against Rangers as comeback attempt falls short
Mariners dropped the rubber match against the Rangers and lost their first series at home against Texas since 2019. Starting pitcher Luis Castillo hit some bumps in the game, while the Mariners bats failed to complete a late inning comeback.
