Turbulent second period sees Kraken blow two goal lead to Blues and ultimately fall in season opener
The Seattle Kraken opened the 2024-25 season, the fourth season overall for the franchise, with plenty of excitement and activity leading up to puck drop, and that seemed to carry into the game as they had a two-goal early into the second period. That positive momentum and energy didn't carry throughout the rest of the game as Seattle gave up three unanswered goals in the same frame and couldn't fight back.

The Seattle Kraken secured their first standings point of the 2023-24 season, but once again the team played like they had earned a full victory. Seattle fell in a shootout to the St. Louis Blues, as the Kraken were unable to put home a second goal during regulation.
