Seattle Reign FC announce 2025 roster decisions
With the 2024 season in the rear view mirror and the offseason fully in the present, our Seattle Reign FC have announced their end of season roster decisions. The club has some key names to look at in terms of those out of contract, waived a name local soccer fans will know, and have a roster at 22 players as they look to improve ahead of the 2025 campaign.
Seattle Reign FC drop final match of 2024 to Orlando Pride in tight 2-3 result
Our Seattle Reign FC dropped their final match of the 2024 NWSL season, losing by one goal to this years NWSL Shield winners in the Orlando Pride on the road. Goals by Jordyn Huitema and Maddie Mercado helped Seattle keep up, but not enough to complete a comeback attempt as the Pride put up two key goals in the first half including one that proved questionable but wasn’t overturned.

In the UKG Challenge Cup semifinal, one mistake in the first half proved fatal for the OL Reign, as they fell by a score of 1-0 to Racing Louisville FC. The Reign failed once again in a semifinal situation, and now shift focus towards chasing an NWSL playoff spot.

Things were a bit different in today’s rivalry match between the OL Reign and Portland Thorns, as neither team had much on the line to play for as the Reign had already locked up the West Division and the Thorns had virtually no chance of advancing in the tournament.

In a friendly match that launched their partnership, the OL Reign proved victorious against Club America in a 3-1 result at Starfire stadium in front of a packed crowd. The Reign saw goals from forwards Tziarra King and McKenzie Weinert in addition to an own goal from their opponents.
