The Washington Husky football team has begun a new era in their programs history, whether it be with new head coach Jedd Fisch, in a new conference of the Big Ten, or with an almost completely new roster. The Huskies opened this new chapter with a rout of the Weber State Wildcats, tuning themselves up as the 2024 season is now underway.

Cougars beat Huskies 40-13, winning their first Apple Cup since 2012
For the first time in over a decade, the Washington Huskies lost the Apple Cup to the Washington State Cougars. An ugly end to an even uglier season, the Huskies gave the starting nod to freshman Sam Huard, effectively throwing him into the fire.
