Flying higher than the rest: Thunderbirds win WHL Championship in five games
In five games, the Seattle Thunderbirds have reached the pinnacle of the Western Hockey League. They have defeated the Winnipeg Ice in a 3-1 effort as goaltender Thomas Milic was rock solid between the pipes, and some of the “unheralded” forwards were the ones who scored for Seattle.

Thunderbirds push Ice to the brink with pull away victory in game four
With a win tonight in game four of the WHL Championship, the Seattle Thunderbirds are on the brink of winning some hardware against the Winnipeg Ice. Arizona Coyotes prospect Dylan Guenther was able to score the go-ahead goal in the third period to break a 2-2 tie.

Thunderbirds incinerate Ice in 6-3 victory to take series lead in WHL Championship
In game three of the 2023 WHL Championship, the Seattle Thunderbirds used a red-hot start to melt the Winnipeg Ice, securing a 6-3 victory to take a series lead. A three-goal burst in a 45 second span within the first period lead the way, and Seattle was able to weather the emotions and intensity from Winnipeg in the second period to close things out.
