Storm begin a new era with blowout loss to Aces in season opener
In their 2023 season opener, beginning a new era in Seattle Storm basketball, the four-time WNBA Champion franchise was dealt their worst loss in team history in a 41-point defeat to the defending champion Las Vegas Aces. Things started out well for Seattle, but it all went downhill after the second quarter.
New-era Storm show out early, can’t play full effort in preseason loss to Mercury
The Seattle Storm dropped their first preseason contest ahead of the 2023 regular season, as several of the Storm players were able to contribute to a strong first half. The second half saw things crumble in the third period, and it was all Mercury from there.

Considering Seattle’s current professional sports success (5 of 8 teams having made the playoffs in 2022-23 at the time of this being published), there is a great amount of youth on the teams. That youth should help the team continue it’s success for years, and hopefully decades, to come.
