Efficient and dynamic play helps Seawolves hold off Rugby Atlanta comeback
The Seattle Seawolves remained efficient and dynamic with their offensive play, holding off a late comeback attempt by the visiting Rugby Atlanta. Seattle secured their first victory over Atlanta in franchise history, as the two clubs have now only met each other head to head twice.

Turnovers continue to plague SeaDragons, falling to Battlehawks in home opener
In their home opener at Lumen Field, the Seattle SeaDragons came very close to giving their home crowd something to be happy about on the way home, but turnovers remained the story in a loss to the St. Louis Battlehawks. For the second week in a row, the SeaDragons committed three turnovers and ultimately took themselves out of a position to win this game.
Kraken able to make timely plays in 4-2 victory over soaring Red Wings
The Seattle Kraken, on the night that they hosted Black Hockey History night and “Dad/mentor trip” weekend, ended the Detroit Red Wings’ five-game win streak. Seattle was able to make the timely plays to beat a hot Detroit team, and notch the 32nd win of the season for the Kraken.
Seawolves pull away in second half from Ironworkers for season opening win
The Seattle Seawolves opened their 2023 regular season with a win of the Rugby New York Ironworkers, a rematch of the 2022 MLR Title match. Seattle’s flyhalf Jordan Chait converted six penalty goal kicks and Duncan Matthews converted the only try of the night for the Seawolves to defeat New York.
Silvertips can’t stop late surge by the Chiefs
The Everett Silvertips and the Spokane Chiefs played to a shootout, similar to the last time these teams met, as Everett fell after holding a 3-0 lead in the third period. A tough ending for the Tips, after a physical matchup with their cross state rival.

In Dylan Guenther’s Seattle debut, the Thunderbirds scored six goals in the final period to defeat the visiting Red Deer Rebel’s. A clash of two top teams in their respective conferences, Seattle and Red Deer were actually scoreless through 40 minutes before a seven goal third period.
Seawolves finish 2023 preseason with romp against Seattle Rugby Club
In their second preseason contest of 2023, the Seattle Seawolves were able to manhandle the Seattle Rugby Club in a 40-minute scrimmage session. Following the scrimmage session, the two clubs split their rosters into “split-squads” and performed different team exercises for those that were in attendance at Starfire stadium.
Mariners building strong lineup in the SoDo region with “The Boxyard”
Right next door to Hatback Bar & Grille and Steelheads Alley, the Seattle Mariners announced an expansion of the current complex to create the “Boxyard.” The building will host the two current entities as well as “Victory Hall,” a gathering spot for games and other occasions, as well as an EL1 Sports + Mariners Training Center.

Seawolves shake off rust, bounce Raptors in 47-0 preseason victory
In their first of two preseason matches ahead of the 2023 regular season, the Seattle Seawolves romped to a 47-0 victory against the American Raptors. Seattle got two tries from Dan Kriel to begin the game, and were able to control the game from there under the classic Seattle rain.
Thunderbirds return to win column with close victory over Chiefs
In their third consecutive game of the weekend, the Seattle Thunderbirds won their second game of that span as they defeated the Spokane Chiefs. Despite doubling the Chiefs shot total (52-21), Seattle only won by two goals. The last of those goals was an empty netter to inflate the score.
Silvertips down Thunderbirds in a battle as tight as I-5 traffic
Just a day after their eleven goal overtime thriller of a rivalry game, the Seattle Thunderbirds and Everett Silvertips battled again, but this time in a true defensive bout. Goaltender Tyler Palmer and the Silvertips took this round of the rivalry, beating Seattle for the first time this season.

In the second game of their back-to-back against the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the final game of the regular season, the Washington Huskies dominated their opponent just as they had the night before. Washington’s seven seniors were honored pre-game, with three of them scoring in the game.

In a historic match for Seattle, the Sounders were unable to finish their chances in the final third against Al Ahly SC. Seattle’s run in the Club World Cup ends after their first match, but there were some positives to take away from the match such as the return of Joao Paulo.
Huskies assert themselves as top dawg in dominant showing over Bulldogs
In the first game of a back-to-back against the Gonzaga Bulldogs, the Washington Huskies imposed their will on their cross state opponents through the first two periods. Donning their throwback uniforms, the Huskies scored 7 unanswered goals between the first and second periods to bury Gonzaga.
Thunderbirds punch their playoff ticket with exhilarating back and forth win over Silvertips
In a heated rivalry game, it took a Brad Lambert overtime winner for the Seattle Thunderbirds to defeat the Everett SIlvertips. Seattle and Everett exchanged gut punches and lead changes, but ultimately the Thunderbirds were better prepared for the overtime period.

The 2022 Seattle Sounders season had massive highs and deep lows, from winning CCL to dragging through the end of the MLS Season to miss the playoffs for the first time in the clubs existence in the league. Seattle faces high expectations again this year, as the road begins in the Club World Cup.
